On the 29th of April 2025, in the “Prof. Tsvetan Lazarov” hall of the the Technical University, Sofia, took place the final of the “Green Technologies” contest of Lozen Tech Park. The ceremony was opened by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Alexander Mitov, Associate Professor of "Hydraulic and Pneumatic Drive Systems", Technical University of Sofia. The difficult task of reviewing all the developments and selecting the winners was assigned to the jury consisting of the following persons: Mr. Rosen Plevneliev - President of the Republic of Bulgaria 2012 - 2017 and Chairman of the Advisory Board of Lozen Tech Park; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Georgi Hristov Ranchev – General Manager of Lindner Immobilien Management EOOD and Lozen Tech Park EOOD, Head of the Department of Financial Control, UNWE; Rumen Velichkov, Commercial Director at Lindner Immobilien Management EOOD and Emil Yordanov, Chief Engineer at Lindner Immobilien Management EOOD.

Each of the teams selected and reaching the final had the opportunity to present their idea to the jury. Some of them shone with charisma, enthusiasm and motivation, others impressed with originality and professionalism, but all of them were excellent prepared and presented themselves more than well! Various ways of producing, storing and using electricity through interesting and innovative methods and solutions dominated as the theme of the developments, which absolutely corresponds to the modern development trends in the field of technology and energy, as well as ESG-investments.

Here are the awarded projects of the students from TU-Sofia:

1st place – Project "H20ptimized-Smart system for collecting, purifying and using rainwater" by Teodora Savcheva, Alex Novkov and Hristo Raykov;

2nd place – Project "SolarBlinds" by Denis Ismetov and Iviyan Stoyanov;

3rd place – Project "White Rose" by Assen Popov, Melis Mustafa and Miroslav Kotlarov.

Congratulations to the winners and we wish them much success and perseverance in the future, as "Lozen Tech Park" declared their readiness to cooperate with all three awarded projects for the further development and implementation of the projects, considering that all of them have a field of expression within the first private technology park in Bulgaria!

We are still waiting for the final ceremony, which will take place at the end of June 2025, already in Lozen Tech Park itself. Then the German investor, in the presence of all participants from the three contests held at different universities, as well as government officials and guests, will present the additional special award among the three universities.
