Awarding the winners of the "Green Technologies" competition and launching a national contest

Prof. Dr. Arch. Gichka Kutova-Kamenova - Rector of the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy (UACEG), Prof. Dr. Eng. Lidiya Galabova - Deputy Rector of the Technical Univerity-Sofia and Prof. Dr. Tsvetana Stoyanova - Deputy Rector of UNWE, an official ceremony was held to honor the Winners of the "Green Technologies" Competition 2024/2025, in partnership with UNWE, TU-Sofia and UACEG, as well as the Launch of a Nationwide Competition for Innovative Ideas for Sustainable Development 2025/2025 and the Upcoming Opening of Phase 1 of "Lozen Tech Park".
The event was also attended by the CEO of the Lindner Group, Germany - Mr. Helmut Lang, Mr. Rosen Plevneliev - President of the Republic of Bulgaria 2012 - 2017 and Chairman of the Advisory Board of Lozen Tech Park, as well as Assoc. Prof. Dr. Georgi Ranchev – General Manager of Lindner Immobilien Management EOOD and Lozen Tech Park EOOD.
Lozen Tech Park EOOD is part of the Lindner Group, Germany - one of the largest German investors in the country, which has implemented strategic projects in our country such as the first business park in Bulgaria, as well as the first gated residential complex - Residential Park Sofia, and is currently developing a new project of the same kind - Residential Park Lozen. With Lozen Tech Park, Lindner aims to build, manage and develop the first private science and technology park in our country. Lozen Tech Park will function as an innovative complex, combining Bulgarian and international technology companies, R&D centers, startups, universities and institutions.
Lindner is also implementing a project for a Class A investor in educational infrastructure in the amount of BGN 15 million, certified by the Ministry of Innovation and Growth and the Bulgarian Investment Agency investment, and an incentive measure for the construction of elements of the technical infrastructure is expected to be approved, which will be provided through the Ministry of Innovation and Growth. In September 2025, the official opening of the educational center is expected. With this project, offering education and informal training related to culture, arts, languages and sports within the residential complex Lozen Park, amidst nature and in close proximity to the mountain, Lindner strives to create a safe and better environment for children's learning and development.
The CEO of Lindner Group AG Helmut Lang shared more details about Lindner's investments - only Phase 1 of Lozen Tech Park, including Buildings 1 and 2, represents an investment worth about BGN 25 million. Lindner plans to launch Phase 3 of "Residential Park Lozen" and Buildings 3 and 4 of Lozen Tech Park by the end of the year with a total investment volume of over 100 million leva. Thus, Lindner's investment in Lozen Park is expected to reach BGN 400 million, and Lindner's total investment in Bulgaria - more than BGN 700 million, making it one of the largest German investors in the country.
“Investments in infrastructure are not investments in asphalt and concrete, but investments in people, quality of life, competitiveness, a clean environment. I am glad that on the basis of private investment we now have worthy competition – not only infrastructure, but also services that attract added value, development, education, world-class specialists,” said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Innovation and Growth Tomislav Donchev at the opening of the first phase of the project for a new generation high-tech park “Lozen Tech Park”.
Mr. Vasil Terziev, Mayor of Sofia Municipality, emphasized how important it is for investors to implement projects with a vision for the future and congratulated the Lindner Group for creating not just places to live or work, but an environment in which people, families and children are part of a larger community.
At the event, President Plevneliev shared that he sees “Lozen Park” as a modern city of short roads, with quick access to every point of Sofia and at the same time integrated into nature, with incredible mountain views and clean air. "Lozen Park" will be a modern suburban center, built with high-tech small and medium-sized enterprises, built for the working people and families, with high-quality infrastructure and business environment. Together with the technology park and the educational services it will offer, Lindner will create a unique symbiosis between home, work, and social life, all in one place.
